Today, the High Court is set to deliberate on the crime branch’s appeal requesting the cancellation of Dileep’s bail, the accused in the actress assault case. The crime branch has alleged that Dileep violated the bail conditions and exerted influence over witnesses.
The earlier decision by the trial court on the crime branch’s application was made without a thorough examination of the evidence, including crucial voice messages. The government strongly asserts that the rejection of the petition by the Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court was an unlawful judgment. The trial court had previously held that the evidence presented by the prosecution lacked credibility. Consequently, the government has approached the High Court, urging the annulment of the previous verdict and the cancellation of Dileep’s bail.
