Notwithstanding ceremonies, the celebration is tied in with spending time with the family, holding over food and giggling. Furthermore, this is actually the way that Bollywood’s Dream Girl Hema Malini is commending the celebration. On the cheerful event, the entertainer shared that she is commending the day at home with her friends and family and is in any event, getting them bowlfuls of Pongal made by her. Sharing a photograph of herself mixing an enormous vessel in the kitchen, Hema Malini expressed, “Celebrated Pongal with the family today. Here I am making the Pongal at home.” Dressed in a pink saree, the veteran entertainer looked wonderful as usual.

Hema Malini’s little girl, entertainer Esha Deol too shared a video wherein she is seen following her mom’s example and making Pongal. In the video, Esha Deol is seen setting up the dish and saying, “pongaloo Pongal” as it finishes cooking. In the subtitle, she stated, “As the country celebrates the harvest festivals of Sakranti, Pongal, Bihu, and Uttarayan. I always make Pongal at home for my family (a tradition I learned from my grandmother) sweet Pongal is a favorite with my kids and we all love screaming together “polgalo Pongal“ as it’s being cooked.
