Garudan is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language legal thriller film directed by Arun Varma in his directorial debut, written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced by Listin Stephen. It stars Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon in lead roles, alongside an ensemble cast including Jagadish, Siddique, Thalaivasal Vijay, Dileesh Pothan, Abhirami, Divya Pillai, Arjun Nandhakumar, Nishanth Sagar, Major Ravi and Jayan Cherthala. The film was officially announced in April 2023. Principal photography commenced in May 2023 in Kochi and wrapped up in August 2023. The music was composed by Jake Bejoy, while Ajay David Kachappilly and Sreejith Sarang handled the cinematography and editing.
Garudan marks the reunion of Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon after 13 years. They previously acted together in the 2011 film Christian Brothers. The film is produced by Listin Stephen under his banner Magic Frames. Midhun Manuel Thomas wrote the screenplay for the film, following Anjaam Pathiraa in 2020. The story is written by Jinesh M. The project was officially announced on 15 April 2023 during the occasion of Vishu.
