Under the ‘Global Student Solar Assembly’, school children will be taught to make solar lamps. After this, the children will make their own solar lamp. To register this program in the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’, the representative of the Guinness Book of Bared Records will be present. Children studying in classes VI and above will first make solar lamps under the supervision of the trainer. In the evening, all the children will remember their father Mahatma Gandhi by lighting their own made solar lamps together.

Many Union ministers including Union Energy Minister RK Singh will also be present on the occasion. The Ministry believes that this will give children the ability to keep pace with the environment and nature. India has shown extreme sensitivity to climate change and aims to generate 175 GW of renewable energy by 2022. The government is serious about achieving this goal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently said in the United Nations that India will increase this target to 450 GW by 2030.
