Former Congress MLA And Actress Jayasudha Switches Allegiance To BJP

Telugu actress and former Congress MLA Jayasudha is reportedly considering joining the BJP. Recently, she visited Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy, where he and other party leaders have been urging her to join. However, Jayasudha clarified that she has not made a final decision yet and needs some time to think it over. She also expressed the need for clarity from the BJP leadership regarding her potential role within the party. This is not the first time the BJP has extended an invitation to Jayasudha. They had previously invited her to join the party before the Munugode by-election in Telangana last year. It’s worth noting that Rajagopal Reddy, who was invited along with Jayasudha, is now a BJP national executive member.

In her career, Jayasudha has been active in the Telugu and Tamil film industry. She won as a Congress candidate from the Secunderabad assembly constituency in 2009. Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2016, she joined the Telugu Desam Party, and later, she switched to the YSR Congress during the 2019 elections. However, she eventually resigned from the YSR Congress. Jayasudha’s last film in the lead role was “Varisu” in Tamil, where she played the role of Vijay’s mother. The film was a huge success. Vijay’s latest release, “Varisu,” directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, has been a Pongal release and earned more than 200 crores.
