The south actor Sai Dharam Tej stays in the ICU as he recuperates from wounds supported in a street accident, Cyberabad police have said that the mishap occurred due to overspeeding and carelessness. A case under areas 336 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and segment 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act was enrolled against him at the Raidurgam Police Station on Saturday. While wishing the actor a speedy recovery, police authorities said that the episode would not have happened had he practiced alert and drove the vehicle inside the passable speed limits.
“After scanning the CCTV footage, based on the analysis of the evidence at the scene of the incident and the calculation of the average speed, it has been found that the bike was driven at an average speed of around 75 kmph near the accident spot. This is beyond the permissible speed limit on the road, which is 30 to 40 kmph,” clarifies CH Raghunandan Rao, ACP Madhapur.
Police authorities added that the CCTV film showed the actor driving at a speed of 100kmph on the Durgam Cheruvu link connect and wildly surpassing different vehicles. As indicated by cops, Sai Dharam Tej appears to have bought the vehicle from Bura Anil Kumar, an inhabitant of LB Nagar and has not gotten it enrolled in his name till now.
The actor also was not carrying a valid license to drive such a vehicle on city roads. The license that he holds permits him to drive only light motor vehicles. However, before we file a case against him, we want to find out whether Sai Dharam Tej possesses a valid license to drive a motorcycle with gears on public roads.
