Vinay Fort is an actor who came to Malayalam without any film traditions. Vinay Fort was last seen in the movie ‘Attam’. The actor says that he has not come so far as an actor because of a cough and had a lot of hardships. About the remuneration he received when he worked earlier. Vinay Fort says that he used to play drama from the fourth grade by joining the children’s group. I had to stop after 10th standard. I am not a boy after that. It was a blank situation without drama. Later, when he joined Plus One – Plus Two, he started making plays with his friends. There is no money. The actor says that after many years he formed a troupe called Karnabharam Chumannu and I was a part of it.
It was a troop of ten to fifteen people. There were brothers who used to sell vegetables and make tiles. No big income will come from drama. At that time I even worked in a medical shop for income. If I work there for some time after class, I get 180 rupees a month. It was not even enough for the carriage fare. All of us who acted in the play then wanted to be a part of a good movie. When you were doing plays, your friends used to say that you have special talent and can be anything. That’s how he went and studied at the Pune Film Institute.
Mohanlal and Mammootty will be asked if they went to film institute and became a great actor. Not so, for one who came from nothing, that one step was necessary to become something. I wanted to learn about cinema authentically.
