Produced by Dulquer Salman, ‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ will be released on the OTT platform. Netflix made the official announcement. The online release is on August 31st. The song which starts with ‘Peyum Nilav’ from the film was released on Dulquer Salman’s YouTube channel. The song is sung by KS Harishankar with music by Sreehari K Nair with lyrics by BK Harinarayan.
Directed by Shamsu Seyba, the film tells the story of Ashok’s love, marriage, and first night in the countryside. Apart from Jacob Gregory, Shine also stars Tom Chacko, Krishna Shankar Vijayaraghavan, Indrans, Sudheesh, Sreelakshmi, Nayana, and Shritha Sivadas. Anupama Parameswaran is the heroine. Anupama will play the role of Syama in the film.
The film is based on the story of Magesh Boji and scripted by Vineeth Krishnan. The cinematography is by Sajad Kaku. The film is edited by state award winner Appu N Bhattathiri. The release date of the film has not been announced yet.
