Director John Lafia passes away

Hollywood director and screenwriter John Lafia has committed suicide. He co-wrote the horror film “Child’s Play” and co-wrote “Child’s Play 2”. He was 63 years old. According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, the cause of death is suicide. Lafia collaborated with director Tom Holland and Don Mancini on the horror movie script.

john-lafia-h-2020Born in 1957, Lafia’s first major credit was 1988’s “The Blue Iguana,” which he wrote and directed in addition to producing the soundtrack. In 1993 he wrote and directed the sci-fi film “Man’s Best Friend”. The TV series includes “Freddie’s Nightmares”, “The Ratz” and the live action video game “Corps Killer”. His last project was the 2006 film Firestorm: Last Stand at Yellowstone, starring Scott Foley and Richard Burgh. Children Tess, Kane and ex-wife Beverly.
