Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam film crosses Rs 50-crore at BO

Thiruchitrambalam, starring Dhanush and Nithya Menen, is doing exceptionally well at the box office. The family entertainer just cracked the Rs 50-crore club in Tamil Nadu and is gearing up for a busy second week in theatres. Thiruchitrambalam will keep a large number of screens due to positive reviews. With Liger receiving mixed reviews, the public would strongly consider Thiruchitrambalam for theatrical screening.

Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar, was released in theatres on August 18. The family entertainment venture will be a huge success.

Thiruchitrambalam grossed Rs 50 crore by the end of its first week and is still doing strong at the box office. Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade analyst, posted on Twitter, “#Thiruchitrambalam TN Box Office CROSSES Rs 50 cr gross mark in just a week. Day 1 – Rs 9.52 cr. Day 2 – Rs 8.79 cr. Day 3 – Rs 10.24 cr. Day 4 – Rs 11.03 cr. Day 5 – Rs 4.16 cr. Day 6 – Rs 3.98 cr. Day 7 – Rs 3.70 cr. Total – Rs 51.42 cr (sic).”

Prime Media, a popular distribution network in North America pointed out that Thiruchitrambalam will have a great second week at the theatre. “Blockbuster #Thiruchitrambalam heading onto strong 2nd wk. Movie will continue in 60+ theater & opening in few new (sic).”

Thiruchitrambalam, written and directed by Mithran Jawahar, is a feel-good comedy-drama starring Dhanush and Nithya Menen. The film also starred Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Raashi Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Mundasupatti Ramadoss in supporting parts. Thiruchitrambalam’s songs and background score were written by Anirudh Ravichander.

The picture opened with excellent reviews and has done well since then, according to industry trackers. The film’s foreign performance is one of the best for a Dhanush film. He stated that the film’s genre has piqued the interest of the viewers.
