Bollywood celebs Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan and Bharti Singh are yet to overcome their difficulties. In the year 2019, the issue of hurting religious sentiments is once again seen to be gaining momentum. Maharashtra Police has been demanded to arrest these three celebs. The person demanding has filed a case against him last year.
According to news agency PTI, a person named Ashish Shinde has written an application to the Director General of Police (DGP). He on Tuesday demanded the Director General to arrest the three celebs. Shinde is the head of a local NGO. He filed a case against Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan and Bharti Singh at Shivaji Nagar police station in Beed city in December last year.
Shinde had filed this case like Section 295 of IPC. It is a matter of hurting religious sentiments. He had alleged that the celebs joked about the festival of a particular religion during a show. The case was later transferred to Malad Police Station in Mumbai. Shinde, in his letter to the Director General, has said that no action has been taken on the celebs. He said in his appeal, ‘Take immediate action and instruct the Beed Superintendent of Police (SP) to arrest all the accused.’
Speaking to news agency PTI in this matter, Shinde said, ‘Neither Beed’s SP nor Shivaji Nagar Police Station are not giving any information in this matter. In such a situation, I and the people of my community have written a letter to the Director General of Police. At the same time, Beed SP Harsh said that this case has recently been transferred to the concerned police station. If something comes back here, we will take necessary steps. ‘
