Deepika Padukone has gotten a lot of commendation for her persuading execution as Malti, a corrosive assault survivor, in Chhapaak. The excursion to getting into the skin of Malti was difficult, as Deepika has said commonly previously. In another off-camera video, we find a workable pace that makes this change through prosthetics
Deepika once said that she burnt a piece of her prosthetics after the shoot of Chhapaak was over, because that was how much it had negatively impacted her. In the BTS video shown by the Chhapaak team, Deepika goes through a long and difficult prosthetics process, with director Meghna Gulzar explaining the kind of impact she wanted through Malti’s look.
Meghna discusses why Deepika was the principal decision at the forefront of her thoughts for this character, however, she never believed that would be conceivable. She further clarifies that in spite of the fact that there is a striking likeness among Deepika and Laxmi Agarwal, upon whom the film is based, she didn’t need her looking like Laxmi. Meghna needed the prosthetics to show a distorted face of Deepika’s, the manner in which it would look if something to that effect at any point happened to her.
