Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya has created a record in Telangana

Waltair Veerayya, starring Chiranjeevi, was released theatrically on January 13 to coincide with Makar Sankranti, becoming a hit and gaining universal acclaim. Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya recently set another Telangana record. Previously, the film bombed at the box office in the first two weeks and slowed in the third. However, in Telangana, this film has earned a lot of money at the box office and has reportedly doubled its profits.

Following Chiranjeevi’s disasters Acharya and Godfather last year, Waltair Veerayya was just released, and its box office business in Telangana initially fell. This film grossed Rs 18 crore. However, according to recent sources, Waltair Veerayya has smashed Telangana records by collecting Rs 35.38 crore thus far. That implies the Chiranjeevi-starrer made Rs 17.38 crore and more than twice the profit in this region.

Chiranjeevi’s film Acharya was a box office disappointment, with only Rs 40 crore locally and Rs 76 crore worldwide. The collection of Godfather was just around Rs 53 crore in India and Rs 108 crore in total, including overseas revenues.

However, the recent film Waltair Veerayya has earned Rs 134.37 crore so far and a total of Rs 229.15 crore worldwide. In Telangana, the film earned Rs 35.38 crore in Rayalaseema, Rs 17.88 crore in Uttarandhra, Rs 18.99 crore in East Godavari, Rs 12.82 crore in West Godavari, Rs 7.11 crore in Guntur, Rs 7.53 crore in Nellore, and Rs 182.85 crore gross in Karnataka plus the rest of India in 19 days. Overall, Watair Veerayya has become a huge success.

Waltair Veerayya is a Telugu-language action film directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film also stars Ravi Teja as a police officer, as well as Shruti Haasan and Catherine Tresa in crucial parts. Prakash Raj, Bobby Simha, Rajendra Prasad, Nassar, and Sathyaraj also appear in supporting roles.

However, after the film’s enormous success, the directors plan to stream Waltair Veerayya via OTT beginning February 10. However, there has been no official update in this regard as of yet.
