Chiranjeevi to land in trouble after Acharya thrashing at BO

25 exhibitors have been protesting outside Koratala Siva’s office since last night in response to the failure of his most recent movie, Acharya, in frightening new developments. They are reportedly threatening to hold a protest at megastar Chiranjeevi’s home if the problem is not resolved for the enormous losses brought on by Acharya. The reported loss is Rs. 15 crores. However, the film’s creators have not yet issued an official statement.

A distributor by the name of Rajgopal Bajaj recently wrote to Chiranjeevi asking for payment for the losses Acharya created. Media reports claim that Bajaj made a significant investment as a result of the hype surrounding the Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan movie Acharya. According to IANS, he had paid Warangal Srinu, a renowned distributor, a premium to obtain distribution rights for the Raichur area of Karnataka. He wrote to Chiranjeevi, saying, “I am now deeply in debt,” and read his letter to Chiranjeevi. It is said to be a commercial failure, grossing Rs 76 crore approx WW over a budget of Rs 140 crore.

Before it was released, Acharya generated a lot of talk since audiences couldn’t wait to watch the father-son team on the big screen for the first time. But within a few days of its debut, Acharya’s box office earnings crashed due to conflicting reviews and critical backlash. Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment produced the Telugu movie.

Chiranjeevi is currently busy working on his eagerly anticipated movie, GodFather. It is a Telugu adaptation of the popular Malayalam film Lucifer. Nayanthara plays the female lead in the movie, and Salman Khan makes a guest appearance. Godfather, which has music by S Thaman and is directed by Mohan Raja, is produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films.
