It is affirmed now that the release of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer Acharya is delayed due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the country. The movie was before scheduled to be out on 4 February. The new release date for the project has not been declared at this point. Hypotheses were overflowing that the producers were intending to postpone the film’s release, remembering the worldwide conditions.
The producers informed with regards to this most recent improvement on Twitter, “Due to the ongoing widespread of Covid. The release of Acharya is postponed. A new release date would be announced soon. Please stay safe and follow all the Covid protocols.” Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya will have the duo of father-child Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan.
Meanwhile, Acharya isn’t the first movie to be pushed in the midst of the continuous pandemic. Before this, films like RRR, Radhe Shyam, and Bheemla Nayak have been deferred because of a similar explanation. It is also likely that a few other films can be delayed in the coming days.
Mutually produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company, the film will consider Pooja Hegde and Kajal Aggarwal to be the female leads. Mani Sharma has given the background score to the film and Tirru is answerable for the cinematography.
