Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer ‘Acharya’ to release on 1st of April

Acharya featuring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan has already been postponed twice because of the increasing cases of COVID 19. Producer Koratala Siva declared on Sunday that his eagerly awaited film Acharya, featuring Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, will be released on April 1 this year. The production for the Acharya commenced in 2020 but had to be halted in view of the pandemic. The shooting had then resumed in November 2020 after the government announced relaxations. The film was predominantly shot in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City.

Because of the pandemic, the film was earlier going to release in the month of May last year however was deferred to February 4 of this current year. However, because of the third wave of Covid, the group reported on Saturday that the film would be delayed again. The next release date was not uncovered.
On Sunday, the creation organization, Konidela Production Company, revealed that the film will be released on April 1, 2022. April 1 is the festival of Ugadi. “This Ugadi, witness the mega mass on big screens. #Acharya Grand Release on April 1,” Konidela Pro Company said in a tweet on its official page.

For Telugu film fans, the film is one of the most expected ones of the year since it is having a father and son pairing for the first time. Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan will be seen in full-fledged roles together. The film highlights Kajal Aggarwal and Pooja Hedge as Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s love interests. The music is done by Mani Sharma and the cinematography by S. Thirunavukkarasu.The movie is produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company
