The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the board exams of class 12 and canceled the examinations of class 10. The decision was taken today in the meeting of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Secretary and other top officials led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in view of increasing cases of infection of Kovid-19. The CBSE Board (CBSE 10th 12th Exams 2021) examinations were to be held from May 4 to June 14.
After the meeting, a statement was shared about the decisions taken in connection with the CBSE board examinations. CBSE has canceled the 10th board exams, hence the results of these students will be released on the basis of internal assessment according to the criteria set by the board. If a student remains dissatisfied with this result, then he / she will be given an opportunity to appear in the examination after the condition of Corona Mahamari is normal. According to the Ministry of Education, the new schedule of 12th exams will be prepared on June 1 by looking at the condition of Corona in the country and students will be informed about the exam 15 days before the scheduled time.
2. The Board Exams for Class Xth to be held from 4th May to June 14th, 2021 are hereby cancelled. The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has welcomed the decision to cancel the Class 10 examination and postpone the Class 12 examination, while Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed happiness over the Centre’s decision to cancel the Class 10 examination. However, he also said that a final decision should also be taken regarding the 12th class examination.
In view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19 epidemic, Maharashtra has also decided to postpone the state board examinations in late May or June. Apart from this, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has postponed the class 10, 12 examinations further. MP Board 10th, 12th examinations were to start from 30th April. The MP School Education Department will announce new dates soon.
