Actress Kangana Ranaut has once again got relief from the Bombay High Court in the case of treason. The Bombay High Court has extended the period of interim relief from arrest of Kangana Ranaut to 25 January. Earlier, during the hearing of the case in November last year, the court granted relief to Kangana from arrest against the FIR lodged in Mumbai’s Bandra police station, which has now been extended till January 25.
An FIR was lodged by the police for accusing film actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel of making objectionable remarks on social media, inciting communal tension. Kangana had filed a petition against this FIR and demanded the court to quash it.
The FIR against Kangana and her sister Rangoli was done on a post made on social media. He was accused of creating hatred and communal tension in the society through social media posts.
This case was hot since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Kangana questioned the Mumbai Police’s investigation into Sushant’s case. Even compared Mumbai to PoK, after which an FIR was registered under them for inciting communal tension.
