Boman Irani will play Prabhas’s grandfather in Maruthi’s next

Presently, Prabhas is working on a number of exciting projects, including Salaar, Adipurush, and Project K. Another film in his lineup with filmmaker Maruthi is also on the schedule. There have been rumors that Boman Irani has been cast to play Prabhas’ grandfather in the drama as the production crew prepares to begin filming. The rumor mill claims that the eagerly anticipated film will begin production on October 20.

Boman Irani has worked in several Tollywood films before. He was previously spotted in the 2013 comedy Atharintiki Daredi by director Trivikram Srinivas. This will be the renowned actor’s second Telugu project. The untitled movie is also rumored to have Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal in the female roles. The other members of the cast and crew of the film, which is funded by the People’s Media factory production banner, are not yet known.

The lead character in Nag Ashwin’s Project K is played by the Baahubali star. In the eagerly anticipated drama, he will appear onscreen alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Project K, supported by Vyjayanthi Movies, will deal with the World War 3 chronology and is set in the future.

In addition, Prabhas is currently working on the action comedy Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel of the KGF fame. The movie, which is being produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films label, will include prominent performances by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu.

Prabhas also has Om Raut’s Adipurush in his kitty. The film is based on the mythological tale of Ramayana. The venture will star Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in prominent roles.
