Actor David McCullum (90), who became the heartthrob of teenagers through the television series, passed away. He is an actor who created a sensation among teenagers by portraying the role of Ilya Kuryakin in the 1960s hit series ‘The Man from Uncle’. Died at New York Presbyterian Hospital.McCullum performed well in films like ‘A Night to Remember’, ‘The Great Escape’ and ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told’. McCullum is known for his role in the film ‘The Man From Uncle’. The series ended in 1968. Ilya Kuryakin, a Russian agent in this film, received several awards. It also received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. In 1975, he also played the lead role in the short-lived science fiction series ‘The Invisible Man’. 

From 1979 to 1982, he starred in the British science fiction series ‘Sapphire and Steel’.He also made guest appearances on several television shows including ‘Perry Mason’, ‘The Outer Limits’, ‘Murder, She Wrote’ and ‘Sex and the City’. He also played an autopsy expert in over 450 episodes of ‘NCIS’.McCallum was born in Glasgow. His parents were classical musicians. So McCallum began his career in the music industry before finding work as an actor. He has conducted symphony orchestras and more.
