Before Vijay, these famous stars were approached for Varisu!

On January 12, 2023, during Pongal, Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna will appear in the upcoming family comedy Varisu. Famous producer Dil Raju has revealed a significant announcement about the drama as movie fans are waiting for it to arrive in theatres.

He admitted to a Telugu news channel that Thalapathy Vijay wasn’t the Vamshi Paidipally director’s first choice for his film. The Varisu script, according to Dil Raju, was first written with actor Mahesh Babu in mind. The movie was presented to Ram Charan, the star of RRR, even though the Spyder actor was preoccupied with other professional obligations at the moment. It turned out that the Mega Power Star was having trouble locating dates to perform Varisu. After that, Allu Arjun and Prabhas, who were busy with other dramas, were also given the movie. Thalapathy Vijay was finally chosen to be the project’s star.

According to the rumors, Varisu would tell the story of a corporate mogul and his successor who takes over the company in an adverse situation. Along with Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, the movie also stars R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha Krish in significant parts. The songs and background music for the film, which is produced by Dil Raju under the illustrious label of Sri Venkateswara Creations, were composed by renowned musician S Thaman. Karthik Palani, the drama’s cinematographer, and Praveen K. L, the editor, are also part of the technical team.

The Ajith Kumar-led Thunivu will compete against Varisu at the box office during Pongal 2023.
