In an interview, the director said that Suraj Venjaramoodu will article the role of an insurance agent in the film. The ‘Lukka Chuppi’ director further said that the story of ‘Love Jihad’ deals with two middle-class expatriate families, one a Hindu family and another a Muslim family, dwelling in Dubai. The story further dives into incidents that occur between the two families when a young lady from one of the families experiences passionate feelings for a boy from the other family. The film is completely shot in Dubai and is touted as a realistic family entertainer.

The producers additionally uncovered the character look posters for the actors Siddique, Lena, Gayatri Arun, and Meera Nandan who play the characters Kareem, Sulu, Lakshmi, and Jesni individually. The editing of ‘Love Jihad’ is done by Manoj and music by Shaan Rahman.
