Bollywood lost not one but two of our great artists – Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor in April 2020 and left a huge void behind. Last night the British film industry had their annual BAFTA awards which were held at Royal Albert Hall, London. The award ceremony paid tribute to Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor.

The award ceremony paid tribute to the actors, writers, directors and several other artists they lost in 2020. In the short clipping, the ceremony even paid homage to Irrfan and Rishi Kapoor. Irrfan has acted in several Hollywood films like Inferno, Jurassic Park, Life of Pi. The actor has left a huge impact in the West with his work. Rishi Kapoor might have acted only in Hindi films, but the artiste of his calibre made a mark worldwide and inspired actors everywhere. No wonder these two great talents were paid special tribute at the grand gala.

Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor both succumbed to their respective ailments and left us for their heavenly abode on April 29th and April 30th respectively. This year at the 66th Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards, the great Irrfan bagged the Filmfare trophy for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for Angrezi Medium and also the Black Lady for his great work in Hindi cinema. His son Babil was present at the event to accept the award and he promised that he will continue the legacy. Babil will soon be making his debut in a production by Anushka Sharma.
