The Sarath Lal Nemibhuvan-directed film “Trimurthy,” the first-ever college time travel movie produced by Mollywood, stars national award-winning playback singer Nanjiyamma in her acting debut.

The national award-winning playback singer Nanjiyamma had a little part in the movie “Ayyappanum Koshiyum,” but this will be her first time playing the lead. A song by Nanjiyamma will be included in the 21 tracks that make up the campus time-travel movie “Trimurthy,” whose director Sarath Lal is also in charge of the soundtrack.

Along with Nanjiyamma, ‘Trimurthy’ will feature at least 50 additional new singers. The movie is claimed to include both thrills and chills as well as some humor. More than 300 fresh actors and technicians are included in the movie, which is set on a college campus.
The screenplay and dialogue for “Trimurthy,” directed by Sarath Lal Nemibhuvan, were written by newcomers Amesh Ramesh and Mahesh Mohan. Anto Jose will be in charge of the editing, and Appu Joshi will serve as the director of photography.

Due to the absence of this time travel genre in the Malayalam cinema industry, people had high expectations for “Trimurthy.” The previous attempt made at the same genre was with the movie ‘Who’.The film was helmed by Ajay Devaloka. Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Churuli’ also had the same elements as a time travel movie.

Nanjiyamma had shot to prominence after her song ‘Kalakkatha’ from Sachi’s Ayyappanum Koshiyum went viral. The folk singer also received a national award for the song. Nanjiyamma is an Indian singer who belongs to a tribal community in Kerala. She gained attention after singing playback in the Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum in 2020. The song “Kalakkatha” is written by Nanjiyamma in the Irula language.
