Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, was an immediate success when it was released in December of last year. After the coronavirus outbreak, the movie drew audiences back into theatres and broke numerous box office records. More than Rs 300 crore in sales were made worldwide. Fans have been anticipating the movie’s sequel ever since. Arjun Kapoor, a Bollywood actor, is reportedly also set to appear in Pushpa 2 amidst all of this, according to recent reports. But Arjun’s absence from Pushpa: The Rule has now been confirmed by the film’s producer.

In a recent interaction with a well-known news channel, producer Naveen Yerneni revealed that Arjun will not be a part of Pushpa 2 and also shared that the shooting of the film will begin by the end of this month. “Fahadh Faasil is doing the role. So it’s hundred percent false news. We will start shooting (for Pushpa 2) from this month’s end. Between the 20th and 30th, we will start the shoot. Initially, we will be shooting in Hyderabad and then we will go to the forest and other locations,” he said.

Pushpa

Fans were ecstatic when Rashmika Mandanna offered a sneak peek of the Pushpa 2 Pooja ritual on social media last month. Srivalli, played by Rashmika Mandanna, was rumored to die in the sequel prior to this. Later on, though, the movie’s producer brushed off all such rumors, calling them “nonsense.”

The budget for Pushpa: The Rise was somewhere around Rs. 200 crores. Pushpa: The Rule’s production alone could cost up to Rs. 200 crores. In addition, it is predicted that the movie’s budget could total up to Rs 400 crore. Although Pushpa was initially produced in Telugu, it was simultaneously released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada too.
