Tamil actor Gautham Karthik and A.R. Murugadoss’s production house reported their next named 1947 August 16 alongside the first look poster. The film is promoted to be a period drama, bankrolled by A.R. Murugadoss’ production in association with Purple Bull Entertainment, and will be loaded with grand imagery and breathtaking action. As the title suggests, the events in the film occur a day after India’s independence. The shoot has been progressing for quite a while and is supposed to wrap up soon as well.
The first look poster is captivating with Gautam looking serious in customary dhoti clothing with many individuals standing in dire holding pots and various things. Sharing the first look banner, director AR Murugadoss who turned producer has tweeted, “My next production venture #1947August16. Great privilege in bringing lots of young talents into this wonderful project. All the best guys. Let’s rock it!”
It is known that AR Murugadoss had previously created the movie ‘Rangoon’ with Gautham Karthik in the lead role, which was directed by his partner Rajkumar Periyasamy. As per reports, the shoot of 1947 August 16 is in the last leg and will declare an official release date very soon.
In the interim, there have major areas of strength for been that Manjima Mohan and Gautam Karthik are going to marry soon. The duo has worked together in the Devarattam film in 2019 and been dating for a long time. While they’ve kept their relationship secretive, reports propose the youthful couple are probably going to take it to next level with marriage this year.
