country’s fastest train Vande Bharat train is now ready for its journey. Today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off the train from Delhi to Katra (Mata Vaishno Devi). Railway Minister Piyush Goyal along with Amit Shah and several ministers were present on the Vande Bharat Express. However, the regular service of Vande Bharat Express (22439
and 22440) will start from October 5. The start of this train will save about 4 hours of passengers’ time. Booking for this has started.

Amit Shah will flag off the train at 950 AM in the morning. Vande Bharat will reach Katra at 5.50 pm via Ambala, Ludhiana, Jammu, and Tawi. The return of the Vande Bharat Express from Katra will be at 3 pm, which will reach New Delhi at 11 pm. There are 16 coaches in this train, in which 14 chair cars and 2 are of executive class. Each chair car coach has 78 chairs. The train can carry 1100 passengers, whose booking has been started and from October 5 this train will run daily from Delhi to Katra and from Katra to New Delhi. In other trains, the journey from New Delhi to Katra is done in 12 hours. In Vande Bharat train from Delhi to Katra, Rs 1630 will be in chair car class while Rs 3015 will be in executive chair car.
