Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will open a pharmacy college on 34 acres of land in Mahuamau, Barabanki. On Sunday, Vice Chancellor Prof. IETU’s constituent institute IET Vinay Pathak laid the foundation for Boundarywal on the ground. In addition, the Vice-Chancellor also inaugurated the Academic Building.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Pathak told that AKTU had got 34 acres of land in the Mahuamau area of Barabanki in 2001 by the state government. The university had plans to build a pharmacy college on this land. There was a problem with land acquisition. Now the land has been captured and the work of the boundary wall has been started. AKTU media in-charge Ashish Mishra said that the university’s endeavor is to start the first batch of pharmacy on the ground at Barabanki from the session 2022-23.
Newly constructed Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Building, and Departmental Seminar Hall on the IET campus were inaugurated on Sunday. Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Pathak said that with the separate building of the Department of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering now in the IET, it would be easy to get recognition from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). During this, Registrar Nand Lal Singh, Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dhananjay Singh, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Shailendra Sinha, and IET Registrar Dr. Pradeep Bajpai were present.
