AKTU: Only 7 percent of B.Tech seats have been admitted

There are 73 thousand engineering seats across the state including the capital Lucknow. Of this, about five thousand seats are from state institutions such as IET, BIET. Based on the results of the first phase of the state entrance exam -2020, not only private institutes but state engineering institutes are also getting students. 

After the first phase counseling, only 4,848 i.e. only 6.6 percent seats are confirmed against 73,151 seats. Students have confirmed the seat by depositing fees. 12,699 candidates who have joined the counseling process have decided to move to the second phase of counseling in search of better options. 

Students are not even after the fight in pharmacy: B. Pharma is in great demand in the market. Despite this, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will not fill the counseling seat of Pharmacy College. After the first phase of counseling, in 24,523, 6.9 percent i.e. 1700 have confirmed admission.

 Spokesperson Ashish Mishra said that for the second phase, one can register by November 2. Candidates will get a chance to choose the option by 5 pm on November 5. The seat for the second phase will be allotted on November 5. After that, the candidate can choose to freeze, float and Vidra till November 8, relative to the allotted seat by depositing the confirmation fee.
