Akshay Kumar wants to work in a Malayalam film with Mohanlal

The upcoming movie “Raksha Bandhan” is being promoted by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who recently expressed his desire to work with Mohanlal in Malayalam films at one of the events. An audience member from Kerala who attended the “Raksha Bandhan” promotional event asked Akshay Kumar whether he would be interested in producing and acting in a Malayalam version of the upcoming movie.

To which, Akshay replied, “I would love to star in it, but I don’t know how to speak Malayalam,” Akshay Kumar said. The movie buff then asked what if someone else dubs for him. Akshay Kumar responded that he prefers to dub himself. “Yeah, do you think, you would like to see someone else dubbing for me? I love to dub myself. But surely I would love to do a film (Malayalam),” he said.

Akshay Kumar continued by saying that working in Malayalam would be fantastic after previously making his debut in Tamil and Kannada. Additionally, the actor revealed that he will speak with director Priyadarshan about working on a Malayalam movie with Mohanlal. “I did a Tamil film with Rajinikanth sir, I have worked in a Kannada film. It would be my privilege to work in Malayalam. I should talk to Priyadarshan about it, and ask him if he can cast me with Mohanlal. It would be an honor to do that,” he said.

Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar have collaborated on numerous movies, including “Bhool Bhulaiyaa.” Akshay Kumar has appeared in numerous Hindi versions of Malayalam movies. Majorly Mohanlal played the main character in the remakes.
