Akshay Kumar Movie ‘Oh My God 2’ For Direct OTT Release

Akshay Kumar is the actor who has won the most 200 crore club wins in Bollywood. But his films were not spared from the collapse of Bollywood like Kovid. Only one of Akshay Kumar’s many post-Covid films has seen success in theatres. It was Rohit Shetty’s Suryavanshi. Akshay Kumar’s films that came as direct OTT releases also failed to garner good reviews. Now there are new reports that Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film will skip the theatrical release and will be a direct OTT release.

Directed by Amit Rai, the film is a satire. The first look poster of the film, which started shooting in September 2021, was out earlier. At first look, Akshay Kumar looked reminiscent of Lord Shiva. Let’s Cinema has reported that Woot/Jio Cinema has acquired the direct OTT rights of the film. Some prominent trade analysts have also tweeted about this. But there is no official announcement about this. There is a question from the audience that the new film has moved to OTT release due to continuous failures in the theatres.
