Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu promotional plan changed

Ajith Kumar, a popular Tamil film star, is planning to release his ambitious project Thunivu in January 2023. The film, Ajith’s third collaboration with hitmaker H Vinoth, is expected to be an action-packed drama. Previously, it was confirmed that the leading man will stay away from Thunivu’s promotions because he believes that a good film is a promotion in and of itself. This update disappointed Ajith’s fans and followers who were hoping for the actor to make a public appearance soon.

However, things changed after Lycaa Productions took over as Thunivu’s overseas distributor. The production company, which beliefs in actively promoting all of its projects, reportedly persuaded Ajith Kumar to relax his ‘no promotions’ policy for H Vinoth’s film. As a result, the actor has decided to go in a different direction with his action thriller. Despite the fact that Ajith will not be present at any of the events, the distributors are now planning extensive overseas promotions for the film.

As a first step, the Thunivu team stunned Ajith Kumar fans and moviegoers around the world by revealing the much-anticipated trailer release date in an unusual manner. On December 26, Monday, the Thunivu team members went skydiving in Dubai and released the announcement poster in the sky. Later, the announcement teaser was revealed on Lyca Productions’ official Twitter page, along with a special note that reads: “Going the AK way! For the 1st time ever, an announcement like never seen before for a Kollywood film. Watch this space as we are coming with an exciting update for 31st Dec 22! We call it the #ThunivuDay.”

Sources close to Thunivu have now confirmed that the official trailer will be released on December 31, Saturday. Meanwhile, the poster for Thunivu was displayed in the world-famous building complex Burj Khalifa, much to the delight of Tamil film fans.
