Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrier’s AK 61 gets a title

Ajith Kumar is teaming up with hitmaker H Vinoth for his 61st film, which has been tentatively titled AK 61.  This will be Ajith’s third film with the director following the critically acclaimed courtroom drama Nerkonda Paarvai and the most recent blockbuster Valimai. The project is being billed as a heist thriller. It has just been discovered that the much-anticipated movie’s title will be “Thunive Thunai.” By the first week of October, the film’s producers will formally unveil the film’s title and first-look poster.

It’s interesting that the movie Veeram, starring Ajith Kumar, has a connection to the title “Thunive Thunai.” Vinayagam, played by the actor, drives a car with the words “Thunive Thunai” engraved on its mirror in the Siruthai Siva film. The relationship between the Veeram world and the films directed by H Vinoth is yet unknown. AK 61 is billed as an action-packed heist thriller that centers on one of the largest bank robberies to have ever taken place in the nation.

According to reports, Ajith Kumar is portraying a character who is grey-shaded in the movie and will be seen in a variety of outfits. For one of his looks in the movie AK 61, which was written by the filmmaker H Vinoth himself, the actor is sporting grey hair and a lengthy beard.  The final scheduled shooting of the highly anticipated project is expected to begin in Bangkok, by the end of September. The Ajith Kumar-directed film is scheduled for Pongal 2023 release, according to the producers.

In the film directed by Ajith Kumar and H Vinoth, Sanjay Dutt portrays the main antagonist. The film stars Samuthirakani, Bhagavathi Perumal, John Kokken, Ajay, Cibi Chandran, and others in supporting roles. Manju Warrier plays the female protagonist. For AK 61, which is made by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP, Ghibran wrote the soundtrack.
