The Hey Sinamika actress also shared a photo of herself and the director that appeared to be a portrait. These two have worked on films together, including Kaatru Veliyid with Karthi and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam with Arvind Swamy, Vijay Sethupathy, Silambarasan TR, and Jyothika, among others.

Mani Ratnam, on the other hand, is currently preoccupied with his masterpiece Ponniyin Selvan. The story is based on the life of Rajaraja Chola I of the Chola dynasty as told in Kalki Krishnamurthy’s book of the same name. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play Nandini, Vikram will play Aditya Karikalan, Karthi will play Vanthiyathevan, Trisha will play Kundavai, and Jayam Ravi will play Arunmozhi Varman in this eagerly anticipated drama. Along with the others, key roles will also be played in the movie by Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. Ponniyin Selvan I has a music by Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman.
