Cinema and mimicry artist Kalabhavan Jayesh (Jayesh Babu) has passed away. He was 44 years old. He was under treatment at the Kodakara Shanti Hospital on Sunday.
Jayesh has been active in the field of art for over 25 years. The character played by Jayesh in Salt and Pepper was noted. Jayesh came to the cinema through Lal Jose’s Mulla. She has acted in over fifteen films including Pratham Two, Su Su Sudhi Valmikam, Passenger, Crazy Gopalan, Elsamma Boy, Kalki and Jallikattu. These roles were very popular. The last movie to hit the screens is Jallikattu.
Jayesh has been an active presence in various comedy shows. Jayesh’s own trope is Cochin Megavision. Sunaja is his wife. Shivani is her daughter. Jayesh is the son of panchayat employee Ithupadam Illamattathil Govindan and Gowri, a teacher of Mattathur Sri Krishna High School. Jayesh’s son Siddharth passed away two years ago.
