2018 Movie Is Taking The World By Storm OverShadowing Pulimurugan Movie

In 2018, a Malayalam film directed by Jude Anthony Joseph emerged as the biggest box office success in Malayalam cinema. It has surpassed the previous record held by Mohanlal’s “Pulimurukan” for the last six and a half years. According to various box office trackers, the film has collected over 137 crores from the global box office. It achieved this feat by surpassing “Pulimurukan’s” lifetime collection in just 17 days, thanks to an unprecedented response in overseas markets.

From overseas markets alone, the film has collected around Rs 64 crores. In addition, it has earned 65.25 crores from Kerala and 8.4 crores from other Indian states. However, when looking at the Kerala box office alone, “Pulimurugan” still holds the number one position with earnings of 78.50 crores. Currently, the film stands at the fourth position in terms of Kerala collections, surpassing “Lucifer” in 2018. The top three films in Kerala are “Baahubali 2” (73 crores), “KGF Chapter 2” (68.50 crores), and “Pulimurugan.”Meanwhile, “2018” continues to receive a good response in Kerala, even in its third week. It has also enjoyed a significant number of screens during this period.
