Thejaswi Abhilash from Thrissur, Kerala is the youngest in Asia to finish a digital doodle in less than a minute. The youngster recently took place in India and Asia Book of Records.
When 10-year-old Thejasvi Abhilash saw her uncle Arjun, a student at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bengaluru, preparing assignments on his iPad, she wanted to try it too. Step By step the Thrissur native mastered the art to a level where she has now won the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records for being the youngest in the country and Asia to create digital doodle art on iPad in 59 seconds.
Happy to receive the certificate from the records committee, Thejasvi shares her love for drawing. “My uncle is my inspiration in digital drawing. When I saw him draw on the iPad using a tool like the IPencil, I was fascinated. Then he taught me how to make digital art using ipencil. Since I love to draw cartoon figures, I did the same for the record,” says Thejasvi, a class V student of Sri Sharda Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Kalady. “Most people break an already set record, but I have created a new one. It was my mother Kavita who suggested the idea of trying out for the record. I had trained myself to finish the doodling within 30 to 40 seconds to get up to speed,” she adds.
